Why Our Jack Russell Puppies Come with a Lifetime Guarantee
We are proud of the lifelong relationship we begin with you when you take your puppy home. We want you to know that we are always here for you. We are concerned breeders, puppy lovers with years of experience in puppy counseling. We hope that every puppy who leaves us will be healthy and happy for its full natural lifespan. However, sometimes things go wrong. Puppies are subject to problems from varying causes, including genetics, exercise and diet, as well as general care and nurturing.
We hope that nothing goes wrong with your Jack Russell puppy. If something does, we will do everything we can to help, even if the problem may not covered by our guarantee.
We wish we could guarantee that none of our puppies will ever have a health problem. We simply can’t guarantee that. But we can and do guarantee that we do our best to ensure your puppy’s health.
Jack Russell Puppy Lifetime Guarantee
For the purposes of this guarantee, “lifetime” is defined as ten years from the puppy’s date of birth. Our breeder covers the first year of the guarantee. We cover years two through ten.
This is what our guarantee covers:
- We know that your puppy is special and can never be replaced. However, we believe that sometimes the pain of loss can be lessened by the presence of another puppy, to love and spend time with. We will provide another pet, of equivalent value, at no cost to you if the puppy should die due to a genetic condition within one year of its birth, or should be found to have hereditary or congenital defects which adversely affect the puppy’s health. While we consider these events unlikely, we do promise to provide a new pet. Please keep in mind that the puppy’s cause of death must be certified by a licensed veterinarian.
- In the unlikely event that a puppy should die from a genetic cause later than one year after the date of birth, we will issue a credit toward the purchase of a new puppy. The credit is good for four months, for fifty percent of the original cost, toward a puppy of equal value. The cause of death must be certified by a licensed veterinarian.
What We Need from You to Guarantee Your Puppy’s Health:
We are delighted to provide you with a healthy, loving puppy. We need your help to make sure that your puppy remains healthy and happy.
- Have your puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian immediately. Send us a copy of the puppy’s medical record within two business days of receiving your puppy. Do not have your puppy vaccinated within the first ten days after bringing it home, because your puppy will come fully vaccinated for its age.
- We de-worm and vaccinate your Jack Russell puppy until you receive it. We recommend that you continue with de-worming, and continue to have your puppy examined regularly until at least 16 weeks of age, in consultation with your veterinarian.
- We know that you will provide the proper care, feeding and maintenance for your puppy, including recommended examinations and vaccinations. We appreciate your care for your pup, and we know this will contribute to its overall health.
Exceptions to Our Jack Russell Puppy Guarantee:
- Please note that we can only guarantee your puppy’s health. We cannot guarantee personality traits like disposition or temperament, or physical traits like size, weight or color, or breeding ability.
- No replacements are given for an overweight dog of a breed known to be susceptible to hip dysplasia.
- This guarantee will be voided if you fail to keep your puppy vaccinated or to provide regular and necessary veterinary care.
- This guarantee provides a replacement only, and does not cover any veterinarian expenses.
- This guarantee does not cover any veterinary or other costs associated with having your puppy spayed or neutered, including undescended testes.
